In the early spring, just before turning green, the woods become resplendent with our state flower — the flowering dogwood tree. Something I recently learned is that the recognizable four white or pink petals are actually not the flower — they are modified leaves with the tiny flower in the middle. Anyway here’s my dogwood flower design printed in two earthy spring colors: lichen printed on white cotton and blush printed on natural, unbleached cotton.
The design is drawn, carved, and hand-printed in the maker's home studio and variances occur naturally in the printing process. The towels have ben prewashed and preshrunk giving them a homespun vibe.
