Welcome to the Shoppe

Against the Grain was founded in 2012 - originally a home based furniture + home decor company. In March of 2019, after years of hardwork and hustling, we opened our storefront in the heart of downtown Southern Pines.

Owner, Ashley Tramontin is dedicated to sourcing products for the Shoppe as local as possible! More than 85% of our inventory is made by small businesses right here in North Carolina. We have a carefully curated inventory of unique and affordable home and gift items - ranging from local pottery and artwork to handturn pens and etched glassware. Our inventory is always changing - so stop by, say hello and see what's new!
