Founded in 2012 as a home‑based furniture and décor business, Against the Grain evolved into a full storefront in March 2019. Owner Ashley Tramontin has created a cherished hub for artisans, locals, and visitors alike.

The heart of our mission is a commitment to local and small businesses. Over 90% of our inventory is sourced from North Carolina based makers — many from Moore County.
